Modern Storytelling That Feels Alive.

When I’m not photographing weddings…

I love to spend time with my family. My wife is a Songwriter and we met working at the same record label. So, music is a huge part of our lives.

We love to travel, hunt out great coffee spots, visit art galleries (we’re loving Hauser & Wirth in Bruton at the moment!) and get out into nature.

We’ve been lucky to have lived and spent lots of time in The Netherlands and California over the past decade – both Amsterdam and LA are spiritual homes to us.

And we’re currently enjoying living on the coast in the South-West, UK with our baby and our French Bulldog (who thinks he’s a baby!).

We both love to meet people and conversation and connection mean the world to us.

Having graduated from film school in the mid-00’s, travel, art, cinema and culture informs my vision, the way I see and the way I capture.

A little more about my approach to photography…

I love the documentary photography approach. I believe that real moments lead to photographs with lasting memories, because what we see really happened. So when you look back years from now, you won’t just see a moment, you’ll feel it all over again.

I work quietly and intuitively, blending in with your guests and your spaces so you can be fully present in what’s happening, enjoying every minute. Instead of asking you to perform, I love to find the moments that artfully reflect who you really are.

I’ll also be your biggest champion throughout the process. The calm voice, the friendly face, the person making sure you feel seen, supported, and celebrated.

From our first chat, to the moment your gallery arrives (and long after), I’m right there with you, capturing memories together that will outlive the day.

I’m based in the UK regularly shooting across Devon, Cornwall, Somerset, Bath, Bristol, The Cotswolds, and London. And I love to travel, so I’m available all over the UK, Ireland and for destination weddings in Europe too!

Every story is unique. I’d love to tell yours.

What is Documentary Photography

Documentary photographers don’t pose or direct their subjects. Instead they observe, anticipate, and capture the truth of a story as it happens.

Some people find that this removes any potential awkwardness from a moment and avoids interrupting it.

But more importantly, the photographs that are created have a deeper resonance. Because what’s captured actually happened.

Documentary photography is not about forcing moments, it’s about noticing them and capturing them in all of their elegant truth.

But…

Candid doesn’t need to be quiet. Elegant doesn’t need to be posed. Documentary doesn’t have to be raw. And Portraits CAN be fun!

I believe that it can all be bold, vibrant and alive with energy and emotion.

Every wedding, every family, every connection is different. My goal is to tell your story honestly. Full of life, emotion, laughter, and love.

Because real moments never go out of style. And real memories transport us back in time, forever.

Let's work together
